1. 석고 기반의 수성 아크릴릭 합성물 Jesmonite를 재료로 사용합니다.
We are using Jesmonite, a gypsum and water based acrylic composite as the main material for making ‘Not A Cup! holder’.

2. 팬톤칩에서 원하는 색상을 정하고 어떤 스타일로 제작을 할지 종이에 색연필로 스케치 합니다.
Decide the color you want for the background on the Pantone color book and sketch the style you want on the paper.

3. 몰드에 들어갈 액체 80g을 계량합니다.
Shake your liquids and weigh out 82g. (up to 85g is totally fine!)

4. liquid 1: powder 2.5의 비율로 가루200g을 계량합니다.
Weigh out 200g of powders at a ratio of 1 liquids: 2.5 powders.

5. 액체에 염료를 넣어 조색합니다. 염료는 전체 분량 280g의 2%까지만 사용할 수 있습니다. 최대한 조금씩 염료를 넣어가며 원하는 색상을 만듭니다. 염료가 2%를 넘게되면 캐스팅이 잘 되지 않거나 무르게 굳어 홀더가 쉽게 부서집니다.
 Pigments may be used up to 2% of the total volume of 280g. Add as little pigment as possible to create the desired color. Explore it! But if the pigments exceed 2%, casting will not work properly or will easily break. So please remember the maximum amount of the pigments.

6. 조색이 완료된 액체에 ④가루를 조금씩 넣어가며 믹스를 만듭니다. 막대로 아주 세심하게 저어 뭉침이 없도록 해주세요. 약 15분 정도 후 경화가 시작됩니다.
Add the powder of ④ little by little to the colored liquids to make the mix. Stir steady with a stick to make sure there are no lumps. Scrape your stick or spatula around the side of the cup that will help break up any lumps and distribute the powders into the liquids. Make it like a cream consistency. Curing begins after about 15-20 minutes.

7. 스프링클 스타일을 위해 작은 칩들을 믹스에 넣어줍니다.
Add small chips to the mix.

8. 몰드에 믹스를 부어줍니다. 믹스를 부을 때 기포가 없도록 몰드를 톡톡 두드려 주세요.
Pour the mix into the mold. Tap the mold to remove any air bubbles when pouring.

9. 몰드 윗 선에 평행하게 믹스를 붓고 몰드 옆면을 쳐주며 기포를 없애줍니다.
Pour the mix parallel to the top line of the mold and hit the sides of the mold to remove air bubbles.

10. 캐스팅한 믹스가 완전히 경화되는 30-40분 정도 티타임을 가져보아요! 
Let’s take a tea time for about 30-40 minutes for the cast to fully harden.

11. 디몰딩: 몰드를 천천히 뒤집어 홀더를 빼냅니다. 
Demolding is performed by slowly turing the mold over and removing the holder.

12. 사포를 이용하여 샌딩합니다. 사포에 물을 묻혀가며 입자가 거친 200방에서 600방, 800방 순으로 샌딩하면 표면이 부드러워지고 작은 칩들이 색상을 드러냅니다. 
Sand using wet sandpaper. Use from 200 grit to 600 grit and 800 grit of the sandpaper, the surface becomes smooth and small chips reveal their colors.

13. 표면의 물기가 마르면 왁스를 이용하여 마감합니다. 
Once the surface is dry, finish it with natural wax made of orange and lemon.

14. 포트나우의 나무도장을 뒷면에 찍어봅시다.
Now stamp the back with the wooden FORT NOW stamp.

15. 포트나우에서 만든 여러분만의 ‘컵이 아니야!’ 홀더가 완성되었습니다. 사진을 찍어 순간을 남겨볼까요! 
Your own ‘Not A Cup! holder’ is completed. Let’s take a picture of it!
