에이 스툴은 잠시 걸터 앉아 쉬거나 작업을 하거나 식물 등을 올려놓는 용도로 사용할 수 있습니다.
Fort Now’s A Stool stands out for its sharp A line. It is made of cherry and walnut wood, appears to have a small area in contact with the ground and body but boasts a sturdy structure. It is very useful to be used to sit on it for a while to rest, do some work or place a plant and whatever you want.

워크숍 진행 일정 Workshop Schedule

본 워크숍은 목공 입문자를 위해 만들었습니다. 입문자에게는 위험할 수 있는 테이블쏘 재단이나 대패 기계 사용은 직접 하지 않습니다. 워크숍에 필요한 재료는 포트나우에서 미리 재단하여 준비합니다. 
This workshop is for beginners in woodworking. We do not use table saw or planing machines, which can be very dangerous for beginners. The materials needed for the workshop are cut and prepared in advanced by FORT NOW.

원목의 종류, 결과 방향을 이해합니다. 
Understand the type of wood and the grain direction of the wood. 

에이 스툴의 재료를 확인하고 오른쪽, 왼쪽, 상판에 마킹합니다. 워크숍에서 사용하는 원목은 체리 혹은 월넛입니다.
Check the material of the A Stool and mark the right, left, top. The wood used in this workshop is either Cherry solid or Walnut solid wood.

네 개의 다리를 도미노칩을 이용하여 조립하고 클램핑합니다. 
Assemble and clamp four legs using domino chips.

상판에 다리가 체결될 자리를 마킹하고 드릴프레스로 구멍을 냅니다. 
Mark the leg hole spots on the top plate and make the holes with a drill press.

상판에 원하는 모양을 그리고 연필선을 따라 밴드쏘로 잘라내거나 둥근 끌 또는 둥근 대패로 부조를 합니다. 
Draw the desired shapes on the top plate. Cut it out with a band saw along the pencil lines or create the relief with a round chisel and round hand plane. 

목심을 이용하여 상판과 다리를 조립하고 클램핑합니다.
Assemble and clamp the top plate and legs using wood pins.

트리머로 가장자리를 다듬습니다. 
Trim the edges using a trimmer (trimming router).

사포를 이용하여 에이 스툴을 샌딩합니다. 
Sand the A Stool using sandpaper and sanding machine. 

천연 오일로 마감합니다. 
Finish by oiling with natural oil.

워크숍에서 다룰 기계와 툴 Machines and tools to be covered in the workshop

❶ 드릴프레스 Drill Press
상부의 회전축에 드릴을 달아 구멍을 뚫는 데 쓰는 기계입니다. 오른쪽 손잡이의 상하 운동으로 구멍을 뚫습니다.
Drill Press is used to drill holes by attaching a drill to the rotating shaft at the top. By moving the right handle up and down we drill a hole.

❷ 밴드쏘 Band Saw
줄톱의 선회운동으로 물체를 자르는 용도의 기계입니다. 직선도 가능하지만 곡선 재단에 유용합니다.
It is used to cut objects using the swinging motion of a rope saw. Band Saw is useful for not only straight lines but curved cuts.

❸ 트리머 Trimmer
목재에 일정한 두께의 홈을 내거나 모서리 끝에 모양을 낼 때 사용하는 전동 공구입니다. 비트에 따라 여러가지 모양을 낼 수 있습니다. 라우터 혹은 루터라는 공구를 소형화시켜 한 손으로도 사용하기 쉽게 만든 공구입니다.
This is a power tool used to make grooves of a certain thickness in wood or shape the ends of corners and edges. Depending on the beats we use, various shapes can be created.

❹ 클램프 Clamp
부재를 고정하거나 조립할 때 사용하는 도구입니다.
Clamps are used to fix or assemble.

❺ 사포 / 샌딩기 Sand Paper / Sanding Machine
샌딩은 손 샌딩과 기계 샌딩으로 나눌 수 있습니다. 기계 샌딩기는 목재의 전체적인 면을 고르고 깔끔하게 만들어주는 기계입니다. 오일 마감 후에 샌딩을 하면 광이나 부드러운 느낌을 줄 수 있습니다.
Sanding can be divided into hand sanding and machine sanding. A mechanical sanding machine makes the overall surface of wood even and neat. Sanding after oil finishing can give it a glossy or soft feel.
